SLC Metro Jail Volunteer Application Process

- Security Access Application
- Important: An electronic version of the application, including an electronic signature, is required. Please ensure you use the fillable PDF format.
- Provide Identification
- Attach a copy of your Driver’s License or ID to your application.
- Annual Security Training Requirement
- All volunteers are required to complete annual security training. Please read the details below carefully and include your preferred date and time for the training in the body of your application email.

- 1st Thursday of each month at 9:00 AM
- 3rd Thursday of each month at 5:00 PM

- Submit Your Application
- Return the signed application (including all content from Steps 1-3) to ca.service.ut@gmail.com
- Confirmation of Application Receipt
- The jail liaison will confirm that they have received your application as well as your requested training date and time.
- Shadowing a C.A. Meeting
- After completing the security training, the jail liaison will contact you to schedule a time for you to “shadow” a (C.A.) meeting held in the jail.
- Recommendation: It is encouraged that you plan to shadow at least two meetings.

- Assignment to a Pod
- The jail liaison will coordinate your assignment to a specific pod along with a designated day and time for your volunteer service.
- Service Commitment: A minimum commitment of one year is required for this position.
- Current Availability: Our fellowship has openings on Tuesdays and Wednesdays from 6:30 PM to 8:30 PM. If these times are not suitable for you, please contact the jail liaison to discuss alternative options.
- The jail liaison will coordinate your assignment to a specific pod along with a designated day and time for your volunteer service.
